Ragi or finger millet is a nutrition power house! This amazing whole grain is rich in calcium, ammino acids, good carbs and Vitamin D.
There are so many varieties of dishes that are made with ragi. My favorite being Ragi chilla and Ragi malt. Its healthy and so filling, a perfect weight management food.
I thought of making these ragi chips today for my 2 yr old who loves to munch on crunchy snacks. So why not give him a healthy option. I tried it with avocado+sour cream dip as it is very creamy and goes well with dry foods. This is the recipe I followed for the chips:
Ingredients:
Ragi flour- 3/4 cup
Whole wheat flour- 1/4 cup
Ghee- 1.5 tbsp
Salt- 2 tsp
Italian herbs- 2 tsp
Chilli flakes- 1 tsp
Water- as required for a medium stiff dough
Method:
Mix all the things and cover & rest the dough for 20 min.
Preheat oven at 300 F or 150 C
Take half the material and roll with thickness like a roti.
Cut pieces in your desired shape
Bake on a baking sheet for 15 min
Flip and bake again for 10 min or until crisp
Serve with avocado+sour cream dip.
